Emily & John's Beautiful Spring Wedding at Syrencot

What a gorgeous, hot and sunny day in May for Emily & John's wedding at the beautiful Syrencot in Wiltshire. It was one of those perfect spring days where everything just came together.

Their outdoor ceremony was surrounded by the most stunning flowers by @theblossomtree_flowers. The colour palette was an absolute dream – soft blues paired with vibrant oranges, peaches and pinks, with peonies, tulips and delphiniums bringing everything to life. I honestly loved this colour combination! Emily's bridesmaids looked amazing too, each wearing a slightly different shade of blue that tied everything together so beautifully.

Hair and makeup by @kamilarobertsmua and @charlottetillyhair&makeup was flawless, and throughout the morning Emily was as cool as a cucumber. John, on the other hand, was definitely feeling the nerves (which is always quite sweet to see!).

After a few glasses of champagne and some lovely gifts, it was time for Emily to get into her dress. We moved into the bridal suite where her mum helped her into it while everyone added those final finishing touches.

Then came one of my favourite moments of the morning.

Emily's dad came in for their first look. He isn't usually one for tears, but as soon as he saw his daughter, he was pulling faces trying to hold them back. Of course, that only set Emily off too!

Before long, I wandered down the aisle to find John waiting in his sand linen suit – the perfect choice for such a glorious sunny day. As each bridesmaid walked towards him, they couldn't resist giving him a cheeky grin as they passed.

Then Emily appeared.

The second John saw her, you could literally see his breath being taken away. He was doing everything he could to keep it together while Emily walked towards him absolutely beaming. She looked incredible, sparkling in the sunshine with the biggest smile on her face.

Their ceremony was full of lovely personal touches, including beautiful readings from members of the bridal party... and, thanks to the May sunshine, a very welcome pause for everyone to have a quick drink of water before the "I dos" and first kiss! Afterwards came a brilliant confetti exit before everyone escaped indoors for a blast of air conditioning and, for many guests, a well-earned mojito.

The speeches were full of laughs and emotion. Emily's dad certainly kept me on my toes by wandering between the tables while speaking (never making life easy for the photographer! 😂), and by the time John gave his speech, there genuinely wasn't a dry eye in the room.

One of my absolute favourite parts of the day came after the speeches when Emily unexpectedly took the microphone herself. The whole room instantly knew something fun was about to happen. She's such a natural entertainer!

With Abba playing in the background, she hosted a game of pass the parcel with brilliant little prizes hidden inside – scratch cards, Arsenal tattoos (I think they'd just won, much to Emily's Dad's horror and John's delight!) and tokens for shots at the bar. Safe to say it got everyone in the party mood and definitely helped prepare the dance floor for later!

As the evening rolled in, everyone headed back outside to enjoy cocktails, garden games and that beautiful golden light. It was such a relaxed atmosphere, with everyone chatting and making the most of the warm evening while we snuck away for a few more photos.

Then it was time to party.

Their evening started with one of the most unique cake cut - a giant 50cm-wide tiramisu that they both dug into with spoons! From there, the dance floor was packed from the very first song. Ties came off, guests were singing at the top of their lungs, and before long both Emily and John had been hoisted onto shoulders while everyone danced around them.

It was one of those weddings where nobody wanted the day to end... myself included.

Emily & John, thank you so much for letting me be part of such an incredibly fun day. It was an absolute pleasure to capture every moment. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together! x
